Prior to joining The Peninsula Club in May 2020, Chef Alex led several teams at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. He oversaw the Seafire Steakhouse, Murrays Deli and the Burger Shack before being promoted to Executive Chef of Garde Manager and Production for the Outdoor Experiences and Banquets. Prior to joining Atlantis, Chef Alex spent ten years at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Starting out as Chef de Cuisine at The Arizona Grill, featuring Southwestern and BBQ Favorites.

Chef Alex was then promoted to the Cochise Geronimo Clubhouse, where he oversaw Banquets, Lunch a la Carte, the Rangehouse and the Mountain Food Truck. Before moving to Arizona in 2008, Chef Alex spent three summers working at the McKinley Chalet Resort in Denali National Park, Alaska, as well as the Wayside Inn located in his hometown of Lucinda, Pennsylvania. Chef Alex completed his Externship Program at The Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida, after graduating from IUP Academy of Culinary Arts. Chef Alex has participated in several Food and Wine Events, with the proceeds going back to local charities in the community.
